I've visited your webpage many times over the years (and now finally hoping to become an owner!). Your rats are gorgeous and the love and devotion you have for them is so obvious and endearing. The determination you have to ensure all of your rats get a wonderful home is something to admire.

Your rats are so beautiful, I am so impressed with your adoption system, as it shows you totally care for all your babies.  When I looked at your retired page, I couldn't stop crying.....so very touching.

You do an incredible job of responsible, healthy rat breeding.   I look forward to  adopting some furry friends to love and spoil!

We have been looking for a while for someone like you. Someone that raises ratties from birth with constant contact and cares for them like members of the family like we do. Thank You

You have great looking pets. My wife and I are looking to get a rat for our daughter for her nineth birthday :-) I have had a rat as a pet as a kid, and would love to allow for my daughter to have that same companionship.

Thank You,

Julie and Jason Sedillo

Hey Amy, I've responded to your e-mail but I haven't heard back from you yet. It seems we're encountering some more technical difficulties. I'll send another e-mail in addition to this signing. I hope to hear from you soon.

Emily,

I have been emailing you every other day for 2 weeks from 3 different email accounts. So perhaps your account is not accepting emails. I cannot get ahold of you no matter what. Maybe you can use a different account since I am out of options.

I just love coming here and looking at your beautiful babies who are obviously well loved. I've had many ratties in my life but they've always been rescued feeders. I'm working on my husband to "let" me get a couple of your gorgeous boys for myself and our kids. Hopefully, soon.

Hi Amy!   I just wanted to say how wonderful my babies from you are.  PeacemakerxNausea boys are doing so great, settling in and loving their new home.  They are so sweet and soft.  I named them House, Wilson & Foreman.    I will send you some pictures.  Thank you for making my first rattie babies a wonderful experience.  You are the BEST and so are your ratties.  I look forward to getting more from you in the future.

I absolutely love Peacemaker and RG Nausea they are adorable and beautiful patterns. I love ratties and have had them since I was a little girl. Currently have some black-hooded standards and some dumbo's. Bought them all locally at pet shops even though I don't like contributing to the pet shop breeders who I am not a fan of. But I couldn't find any breeders in Texas. My daughter is 8 years old and loves all of our tats as we call them. Anyway I would be interested in knowing how or if I could buy some of your rats but not have to drive to Denver.

thanks bunches,

Taryn

Laura Denvir says...

Hey, i want to let you know that if you breed a DUMBO rat to a Normal rat you don't get 'pure dumbo' or 'pure normal', you get a mix. Like breeding a Cihuahua to a Dobermann, you don't get all Chihuahua's, you get mix's. No matter what the ears look like, they are never, EVER 'pure normal' or 'pure dumbo', and they will always throw out mixed eared kits. Ahem. That's how i made my breed, Matt's. Not official yet, but they will be.

Well with rats there aren't different breeds like with dogs. So that doesnt apply here at all. There is only one breed of fancy rat. They just come in different colors and soforth. With rats in order to get dumbo both parents need to carry the gene. If you breed a dumbo to a standard, the only way you will get a dumbo is if the standard carries the gene. There are no "Mix's" with rat genetics.

And I am not sure why you posted that here.
