Thanks for all your work breeding nice rats. :D Well bred rats are great pets.  I've changed the minds of many people by showing them cute and friendly rats.

Amy,

Thank you so much for providing my family with such beautiful, loving, and high quality rats. I have previously used pet stores to purchase my rats, but after taking home babies from your rattery, I will never buy from pet stores again! These rats are almostly always sickly and scared of humans, but your rats remain healthy and interacted with us on the very first day. Our boys are so fun-they are extremely friendly and love to interact with humans, and they get along great with the adult that I had before we adopted our new boys. I will always recommend you to my friends because of your great expertise about rats. You are a great breeder and I can't wait to adopt from you again. Now if only my husband would let me get another rat!

Fascinating stuff and you are such a quality enterprise, I'm lucky I found you first to gather info.  I didn't know anything about rats as pets.  Great info here.  I have 2 cats so I don't think rats would be happy with me, but I'll probably visit again for more info and pics.  Thanks much!  Laura

I'll confess. I've known about this site for a while, but just never posted in the guest book. But now I'm here to say that what you're doing is great. My first rats were adopted from a petstore. One only lasted two weeks, and the other- I'm not kidding- nearly seven years. Captin was sick, I could tell in the store that he needed somewhere else to be. A home where he wasn't being pushed from the food and water, stepped on all the time. So I took him home, knowing full well I wouldn't have him long. Then there was Nicodemus who lived up to his namesake. He was a kind, snuggly rat that loved to be with me all the time (Almost walked out with him because he climbed into the hood of my sweater and I didn't notice). I took him home that day because we learned that he'd been there for too long.. They were going to make food out of him. Only school and bed could seperate me from him. He was so intelligent, just amazing- he even got along with my cat when we got him.

Anyway, I know that store bought rats don't live that long, even privately bred rats don't usually. I was lucky, because any sooner and it would have crushed me. Luckily I knew it was time for him to go when I felt the tumor so close to his heart. I had to put him down, and I haven't been able to even think about getting rat sense. Now, five years later, I'm ready... Just not financially. I am an adult now, I have to be the responsible one.

However, if any one asks me where to get a rat, I'll definately point them to you. Hopefully one day I'll be walking in to pick up my little bundles too.

Amy, Camarattery says...

I am not sure why you would choose janice who was born in 2006 and a female and Peanut who was born in 2006 and a male. Neither listed on my site, nor listed on my availables pages. And you cannot house male and female pairs in the same cage. You would have to get a same sex pair that is still alive and listed on the adoptions pages. Those 2 rats never were available even 4 years ago when I had them.

Sorry I am Kevins kid Solana I found my rat ded yesterday I am relly sad! And I gave you the wrong E-Mail, So please do not do combscreations@yahoo.com insted please do combskp@yahoo.com. So sorry! I am only 8 yrs old. And I had my rat for less than six months. He looked like Cama Holiday and  died like Cama Holiday. I am so so so sorry.

I would also agree that all your rats are beautiful. I am just wondering if I am allowed to come visit the rattery. Rats are one of the coolest pets in the world. They are so smart that in the 4th grade I was able to train two females to play basketball.

Hi there Amy,

Camarattery is by far the best breeder site I've found on the web. I'm really looking forward to learning more and hopefully adopting a pair of your babies.
